Online Virtual Marriage License Application

  1. Virtual marriage licenses will be issued by appointment only.
  2. A marriage license is valid for 90 days.
  3. There are absolutely no refunds for expired marriage licenses or if you have a change of plans.

To complete the application, you must meet the following requirements:

  • The solemnization of the marriage license will also occur via videoconference, which includes both live video and audio*. Your computer must have the capability for both.
  • The issued marriage license will be transmitted via e-mail or other electronic means. You must have a functional e-mail address prior to starting this process.
  • The parties to the marriage shall transmit the marriage license via email or other electronic means to the person solemnizing the marriage and to any necessary witness.
  • A photocopy, scan or other electronic reproduction of the signature(s) shall have the same legal effect as an original signature.

  • Once the license is signed, names can only be changed by a court order.
